Allergy Aware poster for schools
Allergy Aware schools have many things in place to reduce the risk of an allergic reaction.
If an allergic reaction does happen while the child is at school, it will be recognised and managed well.

Recognise and treat allergic reactions
Food technology staff and canteen staff and volunteers
Complete All about Allergens for Schools online training so they know how to make and serve food for people with food allergies
Communication
The school shares information about:
How the school manages allergies and the risk of anaphylaxis
How the school community can help keep students safe
Allergy Medication
The student’s own adrenaline (epinephrine) injector and a copy of their ASCIA Action Plan are provided to the school
The school has a general use adrenaline injector
